Marla Newman Herring joins sales team at Eagle Landing at Oakleaf Plantation

Fleming Island, Fla. (August 15, 2005) – Marla Newman Herring is the newest addition to the sales team for Eagle Landing at Oakleaf Plantation, a new golf course community on the Clay-Duval County border developed by East West Partners, Inc.

Prior to joining the sales group at Eagle Landing, Herring worked for six years as a sales associate and sales assistant at Eagle Harbor, the immensely popular Fleming Island community also developed by East West Partners.

“We’ve been experiencing tremendous sales in Eagle Landing,” said Beverly Dubis, senior vice president of sales for East West Partners. “Marla’s previous sales experience and knowledge of East West Partner’s customer care philosophy make her an outstanding addition to our team.”

Eagle Landing is a 1,320-acre golf course community in northern Clay County adjacent to Cecil Commerce Center and the 24,000-acre Jennings Forest. The community offers more than 1,500 single-family homes with prices ranging from $275,000 to the $800s. Amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Clyde Johnston, golf clubhouse, swim park, tennis center with 12 Har-Tru (clay) courts, fitness center, full-size gymnasium with indoor track, garden golf, amphitheater, hiking and biking trails, parks and playgrounds and year-round programs, clinics, camps and activities for kids, teens, seniors and families, led by a full-time recreation staff.

Before entering the real estate field, Herring was the Regional Sales Director for Frame-N-Lens, an optical store inside Sam’s and Walmart. Her territory included Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, and North Carolina.

As an active community volunteer, Herring is a member of the Red Wagon Committee for Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the coordinator of the business partner program at Lakeside Junior High School, and a volunteer for the I.M. Schulzbacher Center and the ALS Les Turner Foundation. Herring resides in Eagle Harbor with her husband, Jamie, and daughter Sarra.
