Jay Manner named general manager of Eagle Landing clubs
Fleming Island, Fla. (November 3, 2005) – Jay Manner has been named general manager of clubs for Eagle Landing at Oakleaf Plantation, the new golf course community in Northern Clay County developed by East West Partners, Inc. As general manager, Manner will have complete responsibility for all aspects of club operations, including golf, swimming, tennis, food and beverage, and landscaping.
Prior to joining Eagle Landing, Manner was general manager and chief operating officer for Roaring Gap Club in Roaring Gap, North Carolina. During his 11-year tenure with Roaring Gap, Manner oversaw operations for the golf club, food and beverage for three restaurants and security. He was also responsible for budget management, capital improvement projects, land development activities, staff recruitment and training, infrastructure renovations and golf course restoration.

Manner’s first order of business is assembling staff for Eagle Landing’s Clyde Johnston-designed 18-hole championship golf course.
Manner’s 25 years of professional experience include positions as executive chef for Forsyth Country Club in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, a 1,200-member private club; executive chef for Newmarket Grille in Charlotte, North Carolina where he planned the kitchen layout, equipment purchase and set up of the new restaurant; estate manager for Payson Enterprises; and executive chef and manager of Jays, a 150-seat restaurant in Winston-Salem. Manner has also worked at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York and Jupiter Island Club in Hobe Sound, Florida.
Eagle Landing is a 1,320-acre golf course community in northern Clay County adjacent to Cecil Commerce Center and the 24,000-acre Jennings Forest.
